I’m Mohammed Atoum — a venture architect and founder with a focus on building platforms at the intersection of AI, design, and scalable software. I started early, coding at 12 and launching my first agency at 15, which has since grown into YOTTA, a venture studio creating products and digital ecosystems across MENA and beyond.

Over the past decade, I’ve led teams of engineers and designers to deliver 175+ projects across 16 countries, from education and entrepreneurship platforms to AI-driven tools for enterprises. Alongside this, I’ve contributed to developer experience and automation at IBM UK, taught programming as a recurring Section Leader at Stanford University, and published peer-reviewed research applying deep learning to healthcare challenges.

My work now spans ventures, experiments, and research — but the goal is always the same: to turn ambitious ideas into products that scale, last, and move industries forward.

Focus Areas

I always find myself coming back to these core areas that keep me excited to build.

Venture Building

I’ve always been drawn to the challenge of turning raw ideas into living, breathing ventures. Venture building for me is about creating products that don’t just launch, but sustain and grow into ecosystems — platforms like FikraHub, which empowers innovation at scale, or YOVA, which reimagines how brands interact with people. Each venture is a mix of strategy, design, and relentless iteration until it finds its place in the world.

AI & Automation

I believe AI should do more than predict — it should create, augment, and simplify our work. From workflow automation in Nuggets to AI agents deployed in enterprises, I’ve been experimenting with how intelligent systems can reshape productivity and creativity. My focus is on building agents and pipelines that feel intuitive, practical, and scalable, so organizations can unlock their potential without drowning in complexity.

Experience Design

No matter how advanced the technology, people will only connect with it if the experience feels natural. I obsess over design not just as visuals, but as systems of interaction — how a product guides, informs, and inspires. From student journeys in FikraHub to AI conversations in YOVA, I approach design as storytelling: building products that don’t just function, but resonate.

Scalable Software Engineering

The leap from prototype to platform requires more than good code — it needs architecture built for scale. My work in multi-tenant SaaS systems like Yotta Studio is about ensuring that products can grow with users, adapt to demand, and remain resilient. I think of engineering as invisible infrastructure: when done right, no one notices it, but everything stands on top of it.

Applied Research

Some of my most meaningful work lives at the edge of academia and product. Projects like Retimo, which explored affordable diabetic retinopathy detection, or Cognimo, a clinically anchored therapy system, are born from research but aimed at real-world impact. For me, applied research isn’t about theory for its own sake — it’s about transforming discoveries into tools that matter for people.
